|  Spur and Pinion Gear For Crawling?
I see that CKRC has spur and pinion sets for crawling (60/9), and speed (54/14). My dingo crawls pretty well, but I do have a 18.5T motor and slightly taller tires, so I was looking to get a different spur and pinion set for slower crawling, and maybe a set for speed to run every once in a while. What do you guys think of these ratios? Is there a better place to get the parts?

I have 56/12 right now and it's perfect for both speed and crawling. You don't want to over or under gear a brushless motor, it will cause heat issues. You want your spur/pinion ratio between 4:1-5:1. Just buy a few pinions and play with it. When you find the combo that makes run the coolest, stick with it.

I see that the name of the shop that I referenced has been changed to ****. Whats the deal with that? Do you know what the stock spur/pinion is? Where is a good place to order the pinions? Thanks for the help. |
