| Tranny Flip/Battery Relocation
Hi Guys, I'm going to flip the tranny/motor 180 deg this weekend so that I can relocate the battery up front and down below the receiver box. Question: how do I secure the battery plate? I know there is a mod that mounts the plate up front over the servo but I need to get it down low. I think it will have to sit perpendicular to the motor and at an angle as the drive shaft is in the way. Any help? Also, can anyone direct me to a decent set of 1.9 beadlocks that fit nicely with the stock Jeep tires? It seems that all beadlock manufacturers have a disclaimer about the tires that will fit. Thanks |

tranny flip moves the motor more forward for forward weight bias. I bought one of these plates for my scx jk...$17 on ebay |

Hey ROLANDROCKSHOP, can you tell me if that plate will work with after market sliders? I was going to order one, but noticed it mounts to the OEM sliders. I dont mind drilling some wholes or what ever I need to do. Thanks sorry to thread jack |

dont forget that the motor needs to be on the oposite side that the truck want to lean toward under power. if its on the side the truck wants to lean to under power you will get some really nast torque twist. I learned that the hard way when I built my sportsman rig. |

You will have to trim it if you flip transmission since drive shaft will be on the left side.

I drilled and tapped holes in the frame rails to secure mine with my RC4WD sliders. You can just make one of them out above the trans output and MIP.

I ordered the aforementioned tray. Good seller as I talked to him and he was able to bend it the opposite way before shipping out. Should fit my 180 rotated tran. I'll take pics when it arrives. |

http://www.axialracing.com/products/...2-option-parts Nice battery plate. BTW, who makes that HD motorplate you have? Is that the Super Shafty plate and how do you like it? Last edited by Natedog; 05-31-2013 at 06:33 PM. | |

Here are some additional pics of the battery tray. I've painted it with rubberize undercoating spray. Fits like charm. Only issue are the rear holes for the slider mounts. They are a bit off and distort the sliders a bit. Not a big deal. I went ahead and mounted the axial battery tray to help keep the battery form moving side to side. note the distorsion of the sliders; |

You could illongate the holes 2mm and then your steps wouldn't be distorted.
