| help needed for painting body
I just got my new scx-10 and wanted to paint a new body for it but I cannot find any precut letters that are sticky side reversed for painting rc bodies. I wanted to incorporate some wording on the paint job. Can anyone please direct me where I need to go? Thank you for all the help in advance.

Have you tried your local hobby shop? I know mine has stencils for flames and other stuff... not sure about letters. |

1. Print out what you want as stencil. * 2. Flip print out to backside (I.e. printed part face down) 3. Grab to pieces of masking tape approximate size of stencil each 4. Layer the tape on top of itself - sticky side to smooth 5. Put tape on disposable media such as box cardboard 6. Tape paper, still printed side down, over the tape 7. Grab very sharp razor blade, cut out stencil 8. You now have an easily removed stencil in the form of the top layer of tape - just peel and place on the inside The reason you cut it out backwards like this is so that when you stick it to the inside, and paint, it shows up the right way from the outside. Hope this helps! Edit: * usually easiest to see with thinner paper and an inkjet since this bleeds the ink through better than a laser. Last edited by B94Cast; 04-24-2013 at 04:51 PM. | |

Thanks very much for the help. My local hobby stores do not have any letters. I will ask them if they can cut them and i will also try to make them myself. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

anyone in your family have a cricut? my little sister has one and it can cut vinyl decals of images and words in many fonts both normal and mirrored (fliped) to be used as a stencil inside of the car.

Looks good! Question to others, why is there no light forum? |
