Default gearing for a scx 10 with a rc4wd 2 speed

just putting the finishing touches on this truck. Has 2.2 tsls and 55 turn motor. needs some pinions for it. The stock pinion was a 20 tooth. Maybe a 15 tooth would be good? Only thing I know for sure is I need a 32 pitch gear... Thanks for the help

Start with the one the tranny comes with and go from there. Also would help to know if you are using 2s or 3s.

It comes with a 15/60 pinion spur combo. I run mine on a 2800kv brushless and found it just a tad fast so i'm going to a 12/60 with a 55 turn you might want to look at 20/60 if you want and wheel speed, but thats just how I like it, good luck.

Maybe some one could shed some light please..have been reading gearing and stuff but it kinda got confusing..

have a wroncho with the ax2 speed with stock gearing 15/60, 35t holmes torque master and 3600mah nimh battery. have just been playing inside and took it out first time yesterday and after areound 10 min I started smelling smoke and then saw it so i unplugged the battery. Motor was suuuper hot.
Was driving it slow in 2nd gear for a while...
have a 12 tooth at home should i give it a try? Also have a tekin 35t which should be faster right?

thanks for your help guys...

I run 3s, 35t, and 24/84 48 pitch gearing. first gear is slow enough that it creeps pretty slow and second gear has plenty of wheel speed. I have two trucks set up like that and love it. I do everything from flat trail running to hard core rock crawling. Works great for me.
