I replaced the servo..again grrr! I was going to get a Traxxas 2075 but got talked into Savox's new offering sw-1210sg with 277 oz. torque. The failed Savox it is replacing had a bearing shred which shifted the gear post and allowed teeth carnage. Warranty time.

I have it running 5000mah 3s lipo and it is running about as fast as the truck is realistically capable. Lots of screw checking and loctite. Quite happy with the hobbywing combo, wp 125 amp esc and 4600kv 4 pole. 1.9 ripsaws gettin another try, still stuck in tire limbo. Jeep body almost complete.

I extended the front wishbone 3 mm to clock the axle a bit and improve the shaft angle. THis required me to mod a chasis brace and lay it on its side to clear the servo horn. Worked very well actually, it is the one zip tied to the bumper posts. With the rear already wraith lenth extended and clocked I was able to take the internal limiters out of the shocks without causing a bind. I needed the full travel for wear and tear on landings.

I used two sets of bent wraith links in the rear. There is just enough clearance for the upper and the combo allows for mega clearance in the rear of the truck.

Just quick test runs checking the shaft durability after the axial blog mod. Lots of throttle left, pinion going smaller.

It's getting there. The two speed and custom wraith length links are done. I have a micro waterproof servo for the 2 speed to swap for the one on there now. I had to change body choice to the Proline 4 door JK due to the added length. Finally drive shafts, I bought some integy ax10 at the lhs recommendation. Well made but the damn coupler cups do not fit the outputs of the scx10. Drilling them out is not going to be easy. I will try to get some vid of the 2 speed in action. It makes it more fun to drive.

I've had good sucess with cheap solar servos. Particularly the D772. Its a brute, slow but ridiculously powerful!

Thanks I made a note of that, will give it a shot. So far the 2nd Savox is holding up, but saving never sucks and I got a Crawler too

X2... 'cause they're dirt cheap... like $ 17.00
I bought two 772"s... sorta loud... prolly due to the alloy casing...
At 7.5v it will put out it's max power/torque...
but I'm fine with running at 6.0v... runs somewhat cooler.
* use a BEC for this servo.

don't think they're water tight either
so might want to follow up on that.

for a "low cost" HT MG Servo... there is no equal.
And IMO it ranks up there with some of the more pricey servos.

The 772 isn't lighting fast...
but it does well for a crawler... when crawling or at slower speeds.
