I put one of the aluminum tranny cases together too see what they look like. there sexy, I like the green and silver and black, and I bought a 32 pitch 60 tooth spur gear and a 32 pitch 9 tooth pinion from XXXX crawlers, for the torque of the brushless motors I got coming. And found out the output bearings in the Rubicon's tranny are smoked, that's why there's drag and its loud, good thing I ordered new ones for both transmissions. and with the new Mips drive shafts coming, they should be bullet proof, now I hope.

I got the back of the cab of the honcho stiffened up with Shoe Goo and the Drywall Mesh Tape, it needed stiffened up a little, and will keep it from tearing or splitting.

ok I got one of my two Mamba Max Pro esc's I bought, and I got my Tekin 13.5T Redline Sensored motors, and some shrink tubing to make my motor leads, need bullets connectors and 12 gauge wire. I also got my MIPS CVD Center Drive shafts kits but I ordered the #10145's which are for the 11.3'' wheelbase Scx10, I should have bought the #13360 which are for a 12.3'' wheelbase Scx10, but I called Matt at there customer support, and he is willing to exchange them for me, I send him mine with a tracking order, he will mail me two sets of the #13360 CVD Center Drive Shaft kits,

I love doing business with straight up people, like Matt and MIPS, yeah baby they got a new loyal customer

started working on one of my trailers, I made couple fill pieces to close one end in, and was able to make a mount for my Tractor Supply truck boxes, got to close in the one end on the other trailer and mount my truck box on it too.

I got my second Mamba Max Pro and its set up to run a brushed motor, so I bought some Castle 4mm Bullet Connector Sets, there is three males and three females in each package, and bought some 13 AWG wire in black, red, white so I can make some disconnect leads.

I got both esc's bullet connectors soldered up and shrink wrapped and the leads soldered on the motors and bullet connectors on the motor leads so they are disconnect able between the esc's and motors just like I wanted.

I made a set rock sliders for honcho, there not perfect, but close enough for me, I think they look pretty good, need some filing and sanding and eventually painted black. if I knew how weld I could put a rail down the side like the R2J sliders I got on Rubicon. they need cleaned up but done for now.

If I were you, might want to get all that grease out of the cv joints on the driveshafts. Dirt will stick to the grease and grind up the cv joints. I use this stuff...TowerHobbies.com | Sullivan Dry Ice High Performance Dry Lubricant Once it's dry, it lubes and no dirt sticks to it.

thanks I used marine grease cause there is not enough MIPS grease they give you, the dark blue is lock tight from the kits.

I bought some of this Dry Ice Race Lube for my MIPS drive shafts, and it works pretty good, but how often do you apply it, I'm thinking every couple runs, I don't run my SCX10 in wet conditions so every few runs I'll reapply or when there loaded up with dirt cause it says it a cleaner and a lubricant.

I haven't worked on my scx10's in a while but today on my Honcho I added some gas cans and a fake rear winch on the rear bumper, I think they both look good to me.

I'm going to Walmart and buy some thick silver thread or silver embroidering thread and some snap swivels fishing tackle, too make some short winch leads to attach to bumpers, since there fake winches it while add more detail and look pretty good.

I have a Honcho. I mounted my received box in the back. To clear the box I just clipped the area of the cage that was contacting it and trimmed the back of the cab a bit. I can post a pic if interested. The part of the cage I trimmed didn't appear to do much for its overall strength.
