| Suggestions & Tips for Rubicon Kit Build
This is my first build since I was 14 and put together a Kyosho Hi-Rider (still have it). Any suggestions before I begin following the directions. Any particular parts that I should just replace/add during the build? I still have to decide on the electronics. It seems a lot of folks are using the Tekin 35 combo. Thanks guys

Put something inside the splined part of the drive shaft so under load they can't collapse. I used a carbon arrow shaft but I have heard of people useing part of the parts tree as it is the right size to slip inside.

I would start out stock and see what breaks. That way you will learn more about your rig and maybe save a little bit of money. For the ESC and motor, I would look at the Holmes Hobbies BR-XL ESC and Torque Master Pro 35T or Torque Master Expert 35T motors. |

It really depends on what your mainly going to do with it (crawl or trail) but Definetly MIP drive shafts, and id go ahead and get a HiTec servo, C hubs and an L3 steering linkage. i love my axial motor stock rubicon rtr one still. Are u staying with 1.9's? I reccomend 2.2's but definetly beadlock wheels. Just keep your COG as low as possible. My rtr rubicon is setup for crawling and trailing but my honcho is just trail only. Have fun !!
