You only have so much steering lock to lock as it is unless you have a few more mods included that will allow more steering....Ive thought of trying what you described but I don't see how you would get more steering from it...If anything it may make the servo work under less stress..Or perhaps relieve some of the stress of only one link connected to the one side.

Honestly my tires get into my shocks long before I run out of steering limits.

thats roughly what i was thinking when he said he done it but he said the tyres will touch the springs like archangels does

Think of a rack and pinion steering set up where you have a rod on each side moving instead of one short arm moving a longer one.,,Inherently you lose a little suspension on the side your single arm is on the scx10 as the frame hits the top link.. so you will just lose the same amount on the other side...Not sure how it would work but it crossed my mind before,.,,
Would just need a T shape servo arm...One you can attach to the regular arm then two links on the ends of the T.

@ BooHoo

I use 1.9 tires and at full steering with universal axles im not hitting my shocks but I can see if you run big wide 2.2 tires ;provided it would increase steering then it may be a problem

Don't attempt that much more steering without universal axles as you will likely create a binding issue with your axle and break them or something else.

I tried it this way long time ago and it does not steer as well. I'm currenlty running 1.9 Ripsaws on stock and slightly more outset than stock wheels, with Axial high steer knuckles...using traditional steering setup I get so much steering that my tires almost rub the frame in front and they do lightly touch the shocks on backside of front tire....there is no more steering available without more grinding etc.

While this is not a SCX10, you talking about this setup?

I was picturing two upper links while still having a long lower link.... Another upper link going to the other knuckle and using a T shaped servo horn.

A triangle design.

basicaly your looking at suicide steering! i ran it for a long time on my wraith and was wondering why i was roasting servos constantly went back to traditional style V.P. titanium steering links and booyah no more problems!. IMO its only good on a light truck (up to about 8 pounds).thats my 2 cents hope it helps!!

Yes, as stated above, that's called suicide steering. It's been tried by many on here with not a lot of success.
