| Re: My first build from scratch, possibly with a Range Rover body :-)
New stuff came in today, so time to upgrade the Dingo Turnigy waterproof (I gotta say resistant, not proof ;)...) 60A ESC with Crawler mode Blue Bird (same, same) BMS-660DMGplusHS Super Strong Digital Servo Turnigy 8-15A UBEC (not water resistant yet) Junfac drive shafts... haven't mounted them yet, gonna wait for the stock ones to brake, they're real sturdy though. The ESC has been mounted without the fan... didn't need it, not running that much power through it and it just made it easier to fit. The UBEC is mounted at the back on the original battery plate. Had to do a bit of soldering and wirework to get it all to work together, but its running now :-) The ESC was set up using just the set button and blinking lights and beeps, so I'm like 75% sure I have it set up properly in crawler mode and 100% dragbrake, but I'll check as soon as I get the ordered "LCD superduper have to have it, programbox" from Hobbyking Hong Kong... For now I've adjusted the EPA on the reversing to about 25% to make it less jumpy... seems to work just fine. Last edited by Coach-Z; 11-19-2013 at 03:59 PM. |
