| I am not sure where this belongs
I have searched and searched and cannot find out how to use RC4WD wheels with Vanquish Knuckles and Chubs. I really like some of the wheels RC4WD puts out but do not want to buy unless I know their is a way to use them. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate that. Thanks! Cole |

| Re: I am not sure where this belongs Well my thoughts were since he had RC4WD wheels which most use on a RC4WD vehicle; that maybe the RC4WD threads where people modify RC4WD vehicles might know what works with the RC4WD wheels..but I could be mistaken.

I assume you are talking about the rubbing or extremely tight fit? It all really depends on the wheel and tire you are trying to use. I can get the VP stuff to work with my RC4WD steelies, but I have to use something like the Traxxas 3654 tall offset hexes. Depending on the wheel sometimes the tall hex isn't even enough and it needs something more like a washer or even wheel widener kits. It pushes the wheel far enough away from the knuckle to allow it to move freely without problems, but then you are facing the issue of making your wheel base wider. Not a problem for some, but could be an issue depending on your body. Cheers, Dick |

Any other opinions on this matter? I may have to just pull the trigger and figure it out myself.

| Re: I am not sure where this belongs Most use them on RC4WD kits? I bet this is just as many if not more people buying them for other kits. |

There is an issue with VP eight degree C's & knuckles rubbing the tire with certain wheels. The DC Gun Metals are one wheel that does rub but that depends on the tire and foams you are using. Best thing to do if the budget allows is to get a wheel with adjustable offsets, VP, Mayhem, or GearHead. Another option (which I didn't do) is to bag the VP C's & knuckles and go with the Axial aluminum stuff, no problem with any wheel then. |
