Shit made by other people will always be better than homemade stuff unless you're the machinist extraordinaire!! I only try to make things that aren't available for purchase.

Can I say yesterday?!! Well I waterproofed my JK rtr and done some mods here Ill show you:
- I diped the esc chip in plasti-dip (stock ae2)
- Then I double-bolloned the esc and receiver
- Marine greased the inside of the servo then took the whole thing and put it in plasti-dip
- Moved the receiver box to the back of the frame
- Put the battery plate on the Chassis and ziptied it to the shock hoops
- Cut my 1.9 Maxxis tires every other lug*
- Opened up every bearring in the axles and put marine grease in both sides (every bearring in the axles!!)
- Then put a ton of marine grease in both axles
- My aluminum links from axial arrived so I 4-link the front and got my links on w/ the front steering link.
- Then I siliconed the holes in the wheels to stop water from getting in
- I also had to silicone the receiver box because the holes also allowed water in
I still have to mirror the tranny and thats it. My axles make a little noise in them because I put a shit-load of marine grease in them but they don't bind. Thats all I did yestarday and day before that I was working on it all day but I think she is ready to go under water now (its my first truck that is waterproofed I am excited to get it in the mud). But I still want new shocks, and 2.2 mudslingers but thats for later, - axial 4x4 crawler

Oh...Not me..If I can make it. I try my best to make it.I just feel better knowing I built it.Some guys go for looks some guys go for what's easiest. Then again some guys go for the bought stuff because they just don't have the "want to" or "How to".I was a machinist for years. But I don't have any of my own equipment.(If I did me and you would be rolling in new shit.....LOL)

Washed it off after enjoying it for 3 hours. I ran two 4000 mah lipos through it. I went exploring behind my house down in the valley. I found a really nice hill full of rocks and ruts. Some of it was really challenging for me. I'm really enjoying my Trail Honcho!
