Hey guys, so I picked up this kit and I'm so excited that I thought I would share this build.

I got the front and rear axles built, used marine grease for the gears and bearings, built the shocks, drive shafts and triangulated 4 link.

The Maxxis Trepador tires are awesome but I went with the Pro-line 1.9 Super swamper SX XL because they are a bit taller and wider, also gonna use Axial beadlock wheels with 3 oz in each front tire.

For electronics I had a spare Axial AE 2 ESC and 27 turn motor, going to use a CC BEC and 208 oz metal gear servo.

Now that the chassis is complete its time for the body, although the G6 Wrangler body is pretty cool I'm just not a Jeep guy, so I went with a Pro-line 1980 Chevy Blazer body. I had major fender trimming to get the body to sit low.

So I decided to use the G6 body and make interior for the Blazer, I first cut the G6 body so I couldn't see it under the Blazer, then I added body post on the side to support the rear of the truck, so there are 4 exterior body pins and 2 interior pins.

So I had another Pro-line 1980 Blazer body, and I cut the back shell off it and dovetailed the rear fenders to match the G6 body.

This body will be nice for the summer.

Thanks guys, I'm not sure what I want to do next, maybe some LED's and some aluminum hop ups, I want some universal axles too.

All of my electronics are up front so I decided to make inner fenders for some protection, and I used a piece of lexan with the radiator decal to cap off the front, using the front screw on the battery tray to hold it in place.

LET THERE BE LIGHT:

I hooked up some LED lights for night wheelin, I made lexan mounts for the LED's so that the lights would mount inside the body, I painted the mounts chrome and used HD double stick tape to secure them to the body. When I painted the body I left the headlights and taillights clear so the LED's would appear scale as possible.
