they look good. In terms of the specs, they should be the same size as the iroks? obviously not though. Nice to see a larger 1.9 out there. I wonder if they'll shrink over time?

| Re: Red Cow...G6 SCX10 I just picked one up at Target for my newly acquired SCX10 Rubicon RTR. He's a skateboard guy and seems to fit the bill. I just cut him in half and put a screw up his spine from the under of the Jeep body. And the best thing? It was on clearance for the whole $3.88! I salvaged his sneakers, pants and the skateboard as potential "junk" for the roof rack or elsewhere. |

I think Tom was talking about the same skater driver from target on Sunday. Mike if you happen to find a few at target, grab me one, I'll pay you back. There are no Targets anywhere close to me...

Wow, this took a bit to see all the cool stuff you have done to your G6 bro. Very impressive. I love the paint job. My wife likes it enough to want something like that on a future build. Thumbs up bro. |

Well...I finally got my RC4WD Warn Winch installed. One...complaint. I mounted the winch to a RC4WD stubby bumber...the King tow shackle mount welds wouldn't let the winch sit flush on the winch plate. So, some grinding was in order...out came the Dremel. I also needed to bring the bumper in to the body about 3/16ths of an inch. This brought the winch tight to the grill and improved my approach angle. You can see the gap that needed to disappear in the pics. After the grinding, I hit the bumper with some satin black paint and threw it in the oven at 350 degrees to cure and dry it for 5 mins. Driver will be acquired tomorrow and then the spare needs some attn. Tidied up the wiring. Nice and tight. Love these Jeeps. Last edited by THX_138; 08-12-2014 at 08:30 AM. | |

Nice G6'er, it all goes together well, tires not to big and wide, love the rims, always liked that front bumper (I need a winch too) good idea how you cut down the rear bumper simple solid and to the point. Looking forward to some sweet trail pics.

Update Time...So as much as I love Pit Bull Tires...their foams suck. I altered some CI foams. I used a generic Double Duece 4.75" foam for the front...narrowed the closed cell foam by 3/16th of an inch and decreased the OD by an 1/8th to make room for the soft open cell outer foam. In the rear I narrowed (1/4") a CI foam made for the ProLine tires because they are the same diameter as the Mad Beast tires. Then it was time to modify the rear roll cage to accept a spare tire. I won't be using the tire pictured, but it worked well for sizing. Modified my sand ladder mounts. I used Traxxas body posts threaded into the holes in the roll cage and then drilled the sand ladders to accept the size of the body posts. Nice quick release for on trail help. Still trying to find a driver... After going to 6 Target stores looking for the skate boarder guy to be the driver of the red cow...I settled for her. She probably won't be my permanent driver, but she will do for now. A little dremeling and and waaalaaa. Last edited by THX_138; 08-12-2014 at 08:32 AM. |

| Re: Red Cow...G6 SCX10 If the snow ever melts, you could bring the red cow up this way and I could hook you up with a driver. I have sixteen of them collecting dust now. If the weather forecast for this week is right, Saturday might be a great day for it. I could have my SCX10 build together by then. |
