The saddle placement is most beneficial to Center of gravity...you can add more weight over the front axle if you need it to help with crawling...Some add weight to just the front wheels to give more weight on the front..Ive added weights to the top of my servo as well as the wheels..but I have a perfectly balanced truck front to rear side to side..(well, to within a gram or less both ways).

The next best battery placement is just in front of the transmission laying sideways..In no way is the weight over the axle a beneficial spot for anything unless you don't want the benefit of a much lower center of gravity.

I now have my winch installed, the new warn 9.5CTI with wireless remote...very easy and powerful...will easily pull my scx10 rubicon up my door!

the only issue I had was the front screws holding the winch plate down..it was very tight between the mounting post and the LED light pod so I had to put the screw in thru the bumper first and then screw it into the winch plate, but still rather easy to do..I don't really see the need for a steel bumper. Especially since I really like the stock bumper looks...

You're welcome, it uses provided AC wall adapter power supply or two AA batteries.
