| few questions on VP Currie axles
I did a bunch of work on a friend's truck. He has been laid off. Money is a little tight for him now. He owes me 450. He offered me complete black VP currie axles.. I have a bunch of the VP parts.. As we all know they make great parts. From my experience with aluminum housings they seem to get hung up a lot. Maybe they dig into the aluminum a little bit. Not really sure.. So how do you guys like yours? thanks |

I've only used Currie axles on my 1st rig (gonna try plastic on my 2nd) so I can't compare much. But I can say that I have NEVER had trouble following others with plastic axles. In other words, if they can make it, so can I, always. I don't think a couple extra hangups would stop you from having fun, keeping up, or making it over obstacles. When mine were new they seemed to get hungup a few times but after causing some scrap marks along the bottom they seem to not get caught up much at all. The real question is, do you think they look badass? Cus I do lol. Plus they are only $300ish new and he owes you 450 |

I have Currie axles on my Wraith which is a whole lot wider and I have NO issues with hanging up and all I do is rock crawl and trail runs with it. From a functionality standpoint they are completely overkill for the average scx-10 but especially since you're trading work for the axles, if it's worth your time I see no downside to it what so ever.

They don't get hung up. If you try and bulldoze some peaks anything is going to get hung up. They are sweet. Get them! Get them now!!!!!!!! You will need Currie links tho.
