Well I'm totally new to rock crawling on R/C but I got me a RTR Honcho just to get into it and see what happened

So far is been a LOT of fun... Now I want to go and hit the trail soon

Installed the axial aluminum links

As well a little guard for the tranny area, just to make it a little more scale

Now today I did a little decal job to make this simple body stand out a little

Next project is RC4WD bumpers, side guards and water proof the rig.

This is what the rookie had done for now lol... Sorry but there is always a place to start.

My fuel cell

I love the stickers. I have an h2 body that would make a cool zombie response team rig. Trying to figure out an exocage for it.

The sticker of the actual zombie looks like hes about to bust out into the thriller dance lol If youre going all out zombie rig you gotta make it a little more bashed up, cages on the windows, spikes, blood etc.. good start

Digging the colors and the rear stickers. It's always cool to add your own taste to your trucks

Everything was custom made but yeah that back window sticker looks super cool to me IMO

Welcome to the Pitbull Rock Beast tires and Proline Denail 1.9 Bead-Loc Rims... Love the look

More to come and the orders arrive!

I like! An Idea just popped in my head so I feel I should share it. Black screen for windows and thin black plastic strips fitted to windshield like blinds.
Just a thought!

Ok today I decided to try my artist talent behind a sewing machine and I made this prototype to see if I can make a tire cover lol

Also working on installing my Proline shocks!!!

A little more work on the Zombie Honcho

High Jack Lift installation was done today as well

We also added RC4WD Sliders

More to come....

Wish I could use it for my rig but I already have some things in motion, I may be wrong but I think as it sits now it kinda has that apocalyptic feel as well.

Here's a pic. Or two
I saw this truck yesterday on the forum and thought the same thing, the flat black and the custom looking roll bars coming from the front end do give it an apocalyptic feel for sure.

With the trans guard, did you make it or buy it?
Thanks

I've been meaning to get some of those Denali rims and Rock Beasts for my JK.
They look great on your truck.
But what I want to ask is, do they have a bigger offset than the stock SCX10 Walker Evans?
Thanks

Maybe one day if I learn to weld :(

Hi TrilloThrillo,

First, Thanks for the friend request...

The original rims has a bigger offset (about .275") than the Denali (about .22") I don't have any problem turning or rubbing and a lot of the guys on my local use them as well. I personally love the look and that's why I got them

Yeah, I love the look of them too. I'd been thinking off sandblasting them and painting the rim silver while keeping the beadlock ring black. I'm not sure. We'll see but first I need to buy some I really like the look of the stance of Bender's JK, it has Vanquish 725 SLW hubs. I'd been thinking of maybe putting RC4WD 15mm Wheel Wideners in. But it'll be too much. Looks like I'll just be running Denalis or, if I can wait long enough, some Locked Up RC SLW hub compatible rims

Looks great. Taking scale "realism" to a differen level. Agree with a post above, would look quite the part with some blood, barbed wire, bars over windows

Yeah, I saw that bumper on a youtube video and I really like the look plus if you pay good attention you will have more clearance to the tires directly on the front. It should give you a better approach to the rocks.

Hopefully I can try it later today, we have a land rush event (water permit!!!)

Thanks for the comments
