I see some examples of electronics being moved front to back. For example, the radio box to the back and the battery tray, mounted low on the front. Is it ok to let the radio box essentially hang when mounted on the rear of the chassis, you don't have the second set of holes for the little haunches that help support the box. Also, does the battery tray mount low to the front without modification? I know you can mount it above the radio box when in it's default location at the front of the chassis. Here is mine. I just use zip ties. Easy to remove and replace. Even the battery tray is held in this manner. Last edited by o0wiz0o; 07-01-2014 at 04:58 AM. |

That's just how I had mine set up. Zip ties can hold 50% of the truck together and it will work great

Here's my chassis layout: RS GEN2 and Spektrum SR2000 in the rear box, B1R in the front box behind the winch on the JR brick plate. Last edited by Ty@Tekin; 07-01-2014 at 10:39 AM. |

Lol yeah just mount and test. Find what works best for you. Me I keep my pack in the back to balance more of my weighted front end.

the rx box should hold fine with only the two mounting points the electronics stowed inside of it... aren't all that weighty. I've kept my rx box secured at it's original mounting location. But I did shorten and re-install my forward battery plate... And is secured using only the two mounting plate risers/Wscrews that originally secured the aft end of the plate. My forward frame cross member support was removed and replaced with a single tube cross member. I mounted the ESC on top the partial battery plate... as well... my faux radiator It is clear to see... that I mount my batteries atop the sliders (saddle pack design). they are wired parallel to combine mah capacity. ie: 4400mah ----------------- Bottom line... try anything you desire... if it fails... try again, using a different method ! | Re: moving electronics Thanks for this, I moved my battery the same way today. Made a *world* of difference in handling and climbing capability. Loving the way it handles obstacles now.
