Default New scx10 falken gripe

Picked up another scx yeasteday from LHS, super stoked to try it out. Our LHS has crawler trails so I figured, why not just run it now! So I pull it out of the box and first thing I notice is, steering servo is already bound on crossmember! Now being as I already have an scx10 I know how to rectify the situation, but geesh can't even play before finding issues. Next thing I notice is the double stick tape holding esc is already falling off... Good thing i brought mine with me... End rant...

Noticed that on my Deadbolt as well and stickers on body where all peeling at the edges. Like you I expected a little more care.

I'm not sure if Axial's Quality Control is lacking or if you just got "the one"....there are a few in every bunch.

The servo hitting the frame NEEDS a design change!!!! The decals and servo tape...I get that, it just happens

The tape and stickers i understand as well, no biggie there, and i am planning on doing a cms but that cross member seriously needs something done by axial. i like the tires on it though, nice and soft and sticky. wheels are vented from the factory.

I am curious how those tires perform vs. the Treps.

How do you fix that servo hitting the cross member issue?

take the cross member out, trim it with a tool of your choice, or drill new holes in the frame and move it forward a little...i don't have a set of treps to compare them to, so I'm not sure, all I have to compare them to is a set of cut 2.2 mud slingers.

Sounds easy enough with my trusty Dremel. Thanks.

Are you friggin' kidding me? Axial is still ignoring that crossmember issue? That was screwed up on the Honcho kit like 4 years ago or whenever it came out.

Not kidding, took it out of the box, set it down on the tailgate of my truck and noticed it.

After a few months with this rig and many many many packs through it, I am happy to report that I have yet to break a single part. I have upgraded the links and steering but otherwise the rest is stock. Stock servo and all. This rig rocks on 3s.
