Default Front Axle judder

Quick question

Brand new scx10 g6 kit, built it yesterday and took it out for a very short test earlier, but the front axle seems to judder at certain times

There is a occasional clicking noise when driving, but if you lift the truck clear of the ground and put about half throttle the front axle judders badly where the rear turns at a constant speed. It doesn't appear to be an issue with the transmission as the rear axle isn't effected when the front is juddering.

Any suggestions as to what could cause this?

It is a bit steep for my liking, i had to add the addition shims to the lower links to make room for the servo, but the driveshaft appears to be working within its operational limits.

Instead of adding shims to the lower links, you can remove the cross member in front of the servo. Or grind some off if you're using it for the battery plate, just to make the servo horn clear the cross member.
I've actually added a couple of shims to the upper link, clocking the axle a bit forward. Following building instructions from Axial leaves the axle clocked backwards, creating an ugly angle for the drive shaft.

Is your front driveshaft lined up end to end, I believe there are marks on them if not just make sure the pins at both ends line up.

Here is the cross member notched to allow the servo to pass. Making your lower links longer to accommodate the servo clocked the axle back . Resulting in harder pinion angle. Pull the spacers and notch the cross member. Good luck.
