Ok so I have a axial scx10 g6 I'm building. I have the CMS/panhard, and titainium steering links all from Vanquish. I'm running gearhead aluminum wheels and I'm wondering if I put on the vanquish 8 degree knuckles and chubs will I need different steering links? Will my drag link from the servo to the stock plastic knuckle be to short? It looks like the vanquish knuckles mount the links out farther toward the tires. Also will I need a longer tie rod link? The one that connects the front tires. And is there rubbing issues on the wheels themselves? I've heard of that also. Or would I be better off just going with the axial aluminum ones? Thanks.

Yes to needing different steering link/draglink/potential rubbing issues. Not sure if the gear heads have adjustable hubs, but I think RPP sells a spacer you can put between the hub and wheel to give it more offset. I know that I have to run at minimum the wide hex, and I still have some rubbing when I'm sidewalling up something. Otherwise I clear it using my OMF's with 450 or 600 wide hubs. |

Do you know if vanquish sells a longer panhard bar for the CMS setup? I didn't see anything on their site

I also just noticed that if I have high clearance knuckles my servo arm on the chassis mounted servo would hit the drag link and not allow for much suspension movement. Maybe I'll just go with the axial knuckles. But I really wanted the tighter turning. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

The pan hard bar will not be affected as it slips over the axel housing and does not connect to the knuckle. But you will need to extend the rod ends on your drag link and your steering link. Also depending on your offset for your wheels will determine if you need to use a longer hub. Proline makes the widest hex I can find and it comes in the clamping style. A 450 or 600 hub will be more than enough to make sure you clear.

Ok but what about the servo arm hitting the drag link if the drag link is mounted higher? Right now if I compress my suspension all the way it just touches the drag link. And if the drag link is mounted higher won't it hit way before the suspension is compressed? Here's some pics of what I mean. The first pic is my rig just sitting and the second is fully compressed. Note the servo arm just touching the drag link. |

Are the vanquish knuckles stronger than the axial knuckles? That's really all I'm after is a stronger knuckle. So if the axial ones will be just as strong and I don't have to get new links, I'll just do that.

Thanks Derek. I ordered the vanquish knuckles and chubs and tie rod and drag link. So I'll get them on tomorrow. Does your servo arm hit the drag link when the suspension compresses?

Yeah but it really doesn't affect it when I'm Crawling. I have been trying to Come up with something that would eliminate it still though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ok. I did figure out some of my problem. I was using a hitec waterproof servo and that servo is alot taller that my 7955tg. So I switched to that and mine should be about the same as yours when I get it together. Thanks.
