| Servo chattering
Just got a new radio for my scx10 and noticed that the servo just chatters really bad. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Check where it plugs in to the receiver. Has to be a power issue

| Re: Servo chattering What radio? I had this issue awhile back with my Futaba 4PL and a futaba analog servo in one of my older cars. There was a setting wrong on the transmitter, it was set to "high speed" for the servo which was causing it to chatter bad and get hot. I had to call Futaba to figure this out. |

Did you check the settings on the radio as mentioned? I've never had my stock servo chatter. But some of my savox servos did.

And you haven't changed anything else and are sure a connector hasn't pulled apart from itself or anything.

when you say chatter, do you mean glitch ? How old is the servo (meaning use) ? Often the plastic bushings on the output shaft will fail and this could cause a chatter in the steering linkage. The plastic bushings can be replaced with ball bearings but it's probably cheaper to just get a different servo that already has bearings on the output shaft. Now if it's a glitch instead... is there a chance the servo got wet ? The as-3 servo is not waterproofed. and will glitch or even fail if moisture gets inside. |

It's practically new. It's Hasn't been wet. It basically makes a weird chatter noise when I turn the wheel but never gets hung up or does any movement on its own. When I let go of the steering it stops Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's a cheap servo. I burnt up an Axial servo in about one day. Sometimes there is no fix for it except to replace it.

I'm betting $5 a glitch buster fixes it. Any halfway decent hobby shop should have one in stock. PayPal ready. |
