Default popping clicking noise

My scx10 is making a popping clicking noise when power is applied, when you turn it up side down, the noise stops What could it be.

I was gonna say check your spur/pinion, but I would think that would still make noise upside down

My guess is driveshafts... When was the last time the joint got maintained? How steep are they?

Thanks! It was the drive shafts. I put longer links on my shocks and never even thought about the angle of the shafts. Thanks again!!

Same thing happened to me, put on a gearhead rc lowering/raising kit, and the mip's made some horrible noises, flip it upside down to investigate and it went away, took me a few runs and some breakage to figure out what was happening!
