| Project Trail Powerstroke
Hey all, Officially had my scx10 one year (as of feb 12th) so I thought I'd start a different thread to cover it's new build (and since I couldn't figure out how to change the name of that thread...) . It's been all kinds of toyotas so far, but I wanted a hard body. I basically wanted to build something like you'd see on 4wheel and offroads Ultimate Adventure trips, with some cool fullsize flavor. I'm calling it a 7.3, and It'll have a diesel-sized exhaust tip eventually. It's no comp rig, just something fun to go out and run. So far I've mounted the body and, with the help of a few friends, come up with some sliders and a pretty wicked bumper (my friend Skyler is really good at building stuff) Original Thread here scx10 Yota first scale 4x4 project Mod list so far Skid/Chassis stock ae-2 Spektrum 410r Stock 27t RR 16t pinion Axial hardened idler gear (trans) Axial wb-88 shafts from a deadbolt The Scale Shop flat skid Vanquish 4 link King 100mm shocks Amf racing droop plates Custom battery mount Axles Vanquish stage one kit Axial Racing CVD's Beef Tubes Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster brxl servo Traxxas Metal wide hexes Strc rear link mount Wheels/Tires Rc4wd Compass 1.9s Crawler Innovations Lil Novas Gearhead trail kings with .250 offset front hubs and stainless hardware Tamiya f350 body Custom sliders Custom bumper Here's some pics, no paint and no rear bumper yet. Also getting a light kit built for it soon. 20150221_130345(0) by KJHillbery, on Flickr 20150221_130311 by KJHillbery, on Flickr 20150221_130219 by KJHillbery, on Flickr 20150221_130155 by KJHillbery, on Flickr Thanks for looking! After a bad experience with tamiya paint, I stripped it and resprayed it with duplicolor. Still drying but Hoping to put it together tomorrow. 20150225_190543 by KJHillbery, on Flickr 20150225_190816 by KJHillbery, on Flickr |

Still needs mirrors (ordered), a back bumper (working on it), and some detail painting. DSC_0132 by KJHillbery, on Flickr DSC_0122 by KJHillbery, on Flickr DSC_0128 by KJHillbery, on Flickr |

| Re: Project Trail Powerstroke Thank you! I'm still waiting on my mirrors to get here, but the rear bumper is on the truck, and my buddy made some Ultimate Adventure (as in 4wheel and offroad) decals for me. Great looking Truck. Bumpers look good on it. Ultimate Adventure, Eh? Ya better add some fender flares and mudFlaps. Mr Pewe aint gonna like it if ya chip his windshield.. LOL.. I'd add some blackWash to the grill to give it some depth. |

Woke up to a suprise today Screenshot_2015-03-05-07-25-02 by KJHillbery, on Flickr And then got my mirrors when I got home from work. They're rubber so they stand half a chance of staying on it. Once I get my spring assortment back and get my winch parts and scale emblem set it's basically done! 20150305_175305 by KJHillbery, on Flickr 20150305_175325 by KJHillbery, on Flickr |

Did you have to use any kind of adhesion promoter?
