Default My motor and esc choice

Hello,
After much research, and what is left in my budget, I came up with this combo. A RC4WD Brushed 35T Boost Rebuildable Crawler Motor, and a SV3 Sidewinder esc, stock spur, and pinion. Is this a good choice for the money are is their something better around the same price?
Budget is around $150. I do like the esc as I can now use my field link card motor ?
Thanks all

Can I use my field card with the brxl? I can afford the HH 13t and brxl, but on HH website its looks like you can only use Stick and Castle Link programming compatible? I don't no if that includes the field card. I did email HH with no reply

Do I get the Castle Creations Link Quick Connect $12.99, or the Castle Creations Castle Link Programming Kit 21.99 or both for the brlk esc?
Damm for this price I sould go brushless How about the Novak Timbuk2 BL System 13.5T: Wraith Edition & 5ABEC? Actually my buddy smoked his after just a month. Maybe save up for the Teken Roc 412 and a MMP. would the Tekin Redline GEN2 Sensored Motor (17.5T) work good for crawling?

You can brushless is use by some. Holmes make some awesome brushless stuff. You need the castle link I got mine on here for 10. If you go brushless it needs to be sensored set up!

You can run a servo off of the brxl. I have read on the forum, some one said up to a 200oz servo. That would save you money but, I would still use a bec.

For a very smooth brushed setup - Go HH BRXL and your choice of brushed motor.
Brushed motors don't like heat or water. So factor that in.

OR

A cheap brushed setup -
HOBBYWING North America — QUICRUN 16 Brushed ESC
And a Traxxas Titan 21t 550 motor.
Won't have the super low end as the expensive rebuildable motors, but it's dumb and takes a beating.

OR

Cheap brushless setup
Hobbyking® X-Car 120A Brushless Car ESC (sensored/sensorless) (US Warehouse)
Turnigy TrackStar 10.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3250KV (US Warehouse)

My current Setup

Castle MMP
Turnigy TrackStar 10.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3250KV (US Warehouse)

My SCX10 weighs 5lbs so I don't feel the need for a bigger 4 pole motor.

I run 1.9 tires on my SCX10, so I can get away with a Solar D772 servo.
I run a BEC pushing 8 volts to my servo. Have done this with no issues for over a year.

Spell check on aisle one.

I ran a HiTec 7950 and 5645 off a BRXL no sweat.

Very nice, I might try that Hobbyking sensored setup. I've been gearing down more lately for better slow crawling, but am losing more wheelspeed than I want. I'm currently at 11/56 gearing with Traxxas 21T Titan.

EDIT: Does the QUICRUN 10 ESC (2-3S) BRUSHED have drag brake?

I think you mean brushless don't like water. You can run a brushed inside a cup of water!

All of my hobbywing esc's have drag brake. However the manual for that esc shows nothing about how to set anything but throttle mode which is with a jumper. Not so sure on that one but leaning toward no.

Hobby wing set up is less.

Corrosion X or conformal coating can fix that.
