Well that was mock up, the truck has been disassembled! Now I will start a final assembly. I did get some high quality China made aluminum parts. They do work well for the price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I completed the front axle. Parts are as follows, VP cvd's VP Locker Home made brass axle tubes GPM c-hubs GPM knuckles RC4WD 12mm wideners Axial HD Underdrive gears STRC axle truss Hi-Tech 7954 servo I didn't like that the strc axle truss didn't have a third point of attachment. So I shortened the servo plate then drilled through the plat into the truss. Counter sunk the hole then tapped the hole. Nice job on the axle tubes. May have to borrow. Looking killer. That color on the aluminum parts is gonna look great with your body. Sharp as hell. WD before you go in. Used to use Pam cooking spray on the dirtbikes. it'll look good clean or dirty. Last edited by THX_138; 09-19-2015 at 10:25 PM. |

I made progress last night, I completed the rear axle with the homemade brass axle tubes and reassembled the truck. I still do not have a fantastic power plant yet but we will see what I can come up with. I then shortened my battery plate and added a piece of Kydex to the front chassis so that my electronics box and speed controller will be lower down on the frame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm running the Castle 3800/Sidewinder on 2S in mine atm...flings great but since the rig is still able to crawl, sensorless is a PITA at times. Maybe something lower Kv and higher voltage for more efficiency, or the HH sensored + WP combo.

Being that this rig is strictly a mud basher, I was thinking about the Traxxas VXL-3s. It's a 3500 kv motor & its waterproof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That would work. For some reason I thought you have Mud Bashers but I guess it's because that guy posted the pic. Run it on 3S for extra damage |

Cool, I just saw the post now from the 19th. I know I had a big smile on my face after the first throttle pull in mud with the Slingers.

I'm still waiting for my closed cell foams from C.I. But I had to see the Bashers on her. They look sick! But I may have to push the rear axle back a little to center the axle with the body. The wheel base is at 13" now it may have to be at 13.25-13.5" when done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Killer looking rig.The color and wheel/tire combo just all works. Maybe a tad stretch on the rear.Trim them wheel wells a tad also.
