Default Droop kit pros and cons for a honcho?

Hi everyone, I'm kind of new but I would like to know what the differences are when putting in droop vs. standard. Also, would anyone mind explaining how they work? All I've heard is the shocks are lower, allowing a certain type of honcho bed to be placed that I want

Thanks in advance

Your talking about 2 different things.

Droop is an internal change to the way the shock works, it usually has a spring under the shock piston which pulls the shock partially closed, lowers the truck & makes it more stable but doesn't use shorter shock so axle drop out remains stock.

The other thing, commonly called a droop kit is actually a lowering kit & is 100% unrelated to droop.
It again lowers the truck by moving the shock mounting point higher on the chassis.
It can also be used to maintain the stock ride height when fitting longer shocks, longer allows more axle drop out but leaves the truck a regular height to keep it stable.

Huh ok, well I'm not looking to lower the truck but I believe the way I saw the guy do it was to mount the shock to the chassis instead of a hoop. I have no clue sorry

It is called a "cantilever" style suspension. Common when space is at a premium.

Dinky RC makes a cantilever kit if you don't want to fab one up. The other type of canted shock setup is where you mount the top of the shocks inboard of the chassis rails on a crossmember. Someone makes a kit but its easier and cheaper to just do it yourself with some bent rod ends and self tapping screws.

Gearhead makes the other kit I referenced earlier. However, be aware that depending on what kind of terrain you plan on driving your tiny truck on, this setup will adversely affect your climbing and sidehilling ability. Great articulation in the rocks though.
