Default Scx10 brushless

I was wondering what the best Brushless motor would be for a scx10 the ones i was looking at where the Tekin 13.5t and the Hobbywing 3656 and I was wondering what would be a better choice for a scx10 on 3s

Tekin is a fine choice. I'd seriously consider a motor with a bit more torque -- 17.5t maybe. Geared appropriately you'll have more that ample power on 3S.

That's why i was considering the hobbywing 3656 because it is a 4 pole motor with a larger rotor size than a tekin pro4

I'd either go with a HH Puller Pro or Tekin Roc 412. Both were developed for crawlers and are excellent motors.

I use a Leopard 3658 2900 kv 4 pole motor with a 5MM shaft, which I purchased new for 50 dollars. They also make it in 2200KV. On 3S it's really too fast geared 16/87. It does not get warm and I broke my driveshaft last night - it has the power you would want and the drag brake is very strong. I am still shaking down my Forward Control. this motor does very at slow speeds. Surprisingly it does very well when you run it non-sensored and gives nearly sensored level performance.

I have the HH puller 3500kv, it is amazing. Tons of power, and super smooth.

I run the tekin in a 17.5 on 3s and 4s and an mmp. 8/58 32p gearing and it's awesome. Smooth power and drag break works really well. have them in 3 rigs my scx hammers and Wroncho. Works awesome and doesn't overpower the rig

This is why I wanted the 13.5 tekin was because I have a selection of 2 and 3s lipos so I wouldn't want to go and run it on 4s so I figured that the 13.5 with the extra rpm it would give would offset this. Anyways how do you like the torque of the tekin it being a two pole motor and all?

I mostly run 3s and it's geared low and still has tons of wheel speed if needed. I had it in my Wroncho on 5.8in tsl tires and was never low on power

Are you also worried about it being too awesome or having too much fun while driving it?

I've got a mamba max and a dynamite 17.5t and it is absolutely fantastic. GREAT low end control and amazing pull.

I would be all for that puller pro because i can only imagine how awesome it would be considering my buddies twin hammers with a trailmaster bl sport has enough power to flip it on it's life with a single pull. Only problem being where i live it takes 2 weeks to get a new part. Now I have a problem my sensble part wants a tekin 13.5 but the other part of me wants a puller pro on 3s

What ever motor you get you can change the gearing to match the motor. I like the HH stubby brushless water proof set up.
