Default Looking for input on beadlocks

In the market for a set of 1.9's. I've always used Vanquish, but am thinking of trying something different. What do you guys recommend? Pro's and cons. Also, pics of you have. Thanks.

Locked up. They are just awesome wheels. No cons.

Gear Head! Awesome looking, nice machining, hold tires strong, super easy to mount, and they come from a great company.

I have tried them all myself I keep coming back to vanquish they cost a little more but everything does in this hobby. Gear head is my second choice, the newer ones mount up a lot easier.

Always have been a Motoworx Racing fan, always will. Not one issue mounting any tires and quality is phenomenal. They make an SLW version as well.

Well, if you want to try something different. You might like the Boomracing high mass wheels..... They come pretty affordable and already have a nice weight to them.

I have had great luck with The Scale Shop (TSS) beadlocks. Love the fit and finish along with scale looks.

I just looked at those but they say they don't come with 'scale bolts and hubs'. What does that mean? they don't come complete you have to buy other stuff?

They come with standard hex hardware not scale hardware. The scale hubs are optional because you can reuse the stock wheel nuts to mount them up to your truck.

You do have to buy SLW hubs to go with them just like any SLW compatible wheel.

SSD, RC4WD and LockedUpRC...not necessarily in that order, they are all high quality, scale and good price!

I like SSD wheels as well. They are easy to assemble and look tough for a great price. Locked up rc has amazing rims but they are pricey when you add up everything you need. Also note that you may want to consider the SLW hubs the ditch of your rig. SLW hubs are 15 bucks per axle. I also have the Pitbull rims in 2.2. They aren't for everyone, but I like the high style look for my brushless ax10 deadbolt. You can get them in like 8 different color combinations. Of course Vanquish Method wheels look fantastic, are lightweight, but costly at close to 80 dollars an axle.

I think a guy has a lot of factors to take into consideration... How much do you wanna spend? Do you want them to be heavy or light weight? Ease of tire installs? What are your performance needs? How hard are you gonna be on them? What level of scaleness are you after?

For me, I just have fun driving mine with my kids while enjoying the outdoors. Mine don't have to look super scale because when the wheels are turning, I can't see whether it's got a nut or a hub or real looking nuts and such on it. I run my slippers loose enough to save all my parts, kids can be tough on pats lol. This means I don't need aluminum wheels as I won't strip out my plastic hexes in the axial wheels. I do like black wheels with a nice set of bead lock rings though. Bead lock rings can really change the look of any wheel. I do have a set of aluminum China knock off wheels though as I wanted a different look and some extra weight on my rig vs the kids though.

Don't forget, some high steer knuckles out there don't get along well with certain wheels. When shopping for wheels one of my biggest selling points is if the wheel has the ability to run spacers behind it so I can space it out to not interfere with knuckles or provide the look I'm going for. Obviously this is dependent on the build.

I put gmade Steel beadlockers on mine. I liked the old school steel look and they add some weight. I also got them in raw steel so in due time they will age and hopefully rust to look more real ;) and they arn't priced bad.
