I had some bad ticking coming from the motor/tranny so I tore apart to investigate. Spinning the tranny by hand once the motor gear was disconnected, the ticking was there. I tore apart the tranny and it was just binding up a bit. Slapped it back together. Left the motor gear off and figured I'd hook up the battery (3s lipo) and spin the motor to make sure I don't hear any ticking... One good flick of the throttle and it's dead. The steering servo still works. I have a Cc BEC hooked up.. Lemme know what u think and if there are any trouble shooting steps to take before I buy something
Thanks!!!

Oooook so letting it sit for 10 mins apparently fixed it. Here s a video what you think?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say there is just some sort of debris in there? Try a can of motor cleaner(I use carb/choke cleaner but people say not to). If that doesn't work as cheap as those motors are I myself would run it till it doesn't turn anymore.

possibly a stick or some other debris entered the fan intake(s)
and could have even snapped off one of fan's vanes.

nothing rattling around inside the can ?

maybe it's metal debris picked up and magnetized to the interior ?

spray it out with cleaner

if it's still in there... you'll find out

it's a good idea to remove the motor when cleaning.

Thanks for the responses! I had ran it in a glass of water to try and clean it, but I slipped holding the motor and ripped off the power wire.. Lol I will re-solder it back on. But I do have a question.. Is it ok to put power to the motor and run it full throttle? Still not sure why it quit on me that one time. I might just pick up a 35t motor anyway and keep this as a backup
