Default play in rear scx10 axle?

Hello another dumb random fire question, but I noticed my scx10's rear axle has some side to side play in it. Is this normal? Any way to reduce this?
Thanks!!

More information please. If you're talking about turning one tire and the other. You need a spool from hh to help with slop

It could also be worn rod ends on the links. Mine has this issue right now.

I have play in the wheels themselves too, but what I'm talking about is the entire rear axle housing wiggles a little side to side, almost like its the links or something

It is the links, either slop in the rod ends or slop in the mounting of the rod ends.

I had the same issue. I replaced my plastic links with DIY metal links and it reduced the play significantly.

Mass produced pivot balls and rod ends can be a little sloppy when new and will get worse with wear. It's not exactly normal as it's not intentional in the design, but it is common due to manufacturing tolerances.

Plastic rod ends have to snap fit on to the pivot balls, hence they are manufactured with adequate tolerance otherwise it would be hard to interlock them. Apart from this , soft plastic is used for rod ends that flexes without a lot of force. It helps manufacturers, but the product life suffers.

Metal rod ends are composed of more than the pivot ball and rod end. There are locking rings which lock the pivot ball inside the cup. These are set on a mechanical press insted of snap fit.
