I don't post alot but here goes. I built this truck late last year and like most people this truck is always changing/evolving. Chassis is a exile Rc proscaler made locally Scx axles with the usual upgrades 13" WB Mmp/bec/5955 servo/13t crawlmaster Homemade stuff like the front bumper/some Of the links, boatsides, etc Ive been switching between swamper XL's on custom exile Rc delrin beadlocks and proline hyrax on scale shop beadlocks Its getting close to where I want it but as most of you know it's always a work in progress Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks great, love the 1966 Ford, truck turned out very nice, I like the swampers on it too. Reminds me, I need to buy one of the Proline 66 Ford cabs too.

Thanks. Btw I owned a 66f100 honcho cab and proline dropped the ball on that one IMO. They messed with the dimensions so it's actually wider then this body in the cab, but shorter front to back. Just didn't work for what I wanted to do with it which was a major let down since it looked so good in pics. Oh well I like this body a lot but its on the long side so it takes a bit to make it work. | |

Finally had a chance to run this truck at the local proving grounds. Been snow on the ground for a month :(. I lowered the truck 1/4" and put the proline dual stage foams in the hyrax tires and I'm impressed. The tires didn't work for me with CI 4.75" lil novas- too stiff for this rig. The proline foams are the ticket for this rig. The rocks were wet and greasy but I pulled a few lines that are a challenge in the dry. Next mods will be 1 tooth smaller pinion and modifying the chassis so it doesn't hang up quite as much near the front links. May do some lighting bs more work on the inner splash guards Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
