Default Project Trail Powerstroke

Hey all, Officially had my scx10 one year (as of feb 12th) so I thought I'd start a different thread to cover it's new build (and since I couldn't figure out how to change the name of that thread...) . It's been all kinds of toyotas so far, but I wanted a hard body. I basically wanted to build something like you'd see on 4wheel and offroads Ultimate Adventure trips, with some cool fullsize flavor. I'm calling it a 7.3, and It'll have a diesel-sized exhaust tip eventually. It's no comp rig, just something fun to go out and run.

So far I've mounted the body and, with the help of a few friends, come up with some sliders and a pretty wicked bumper (my friend Skyler is really good at building stuff)

Still needs mirrors (ordered), a back bumper (working on it), and some detail painting.

Thank you!

I'm still waiting on my mirrors to get here, but the rear bumper is on the truck, and my buddy made some Ultimate Adventure (as in 4wheel and offroad) decals for me.

Great looking Truck.
Bumpers look good on it.

Ultimate Adventure, Eh? Ya better add some fender flares and mudFlaps.
Mr Pewe aint gonna like it if ya chip his windshield.. LOL..

I'd add some blackWash to the grill to give it some depth.

Planning on painting the insets in the grille, and thanks! Seems like the trees got Pewes windshield last year!

And then got my mirrors when I got home from work. They're rubber so they stand half a chance of staying on it. Once I get my spring assortment back and get my winch parts and scale emblem set it's basically done!

Did you have to use any kind of adhesion promoter?

I love the compasses, I don't run a ton of rock but I haven't found much that they don't do well in. And thanks!

Nope, Duplicolor primer, paint, and clear after wiping the body down with automotive surface prep
