Used scx10 questions.

So I bought a used scx10 for my son and when I got it I was told that is was a stretched wheel base. After having it and wanting to install a new body I can’t find one that would look right. The one on there is hacked up to make it somewhat fit. My question is when someone stretches the wheel base do they usually leave the front alone and just move the back wheels. It looks like he drilled some new holes and moved everything back about a 1/2 in to an inch. When I measure it it’s a little over 13 inches. I just want it back to stock so I can put a new body on it. I’d like to go to a 12.3 wheel base but I’m not sure if the front is set up for that or if they are all the same. He used the stock rear upper links all he did was drill holes and move them. However the bottom links look home made and the shock tower looks like it has been moved back as well. Hopefully I explained all of that right and makes since. Thanks for you time and help.

It would help alot if u could post pics. That would help us to help u. So we can see wat has been done. The easiest way to know uve got the 12.3 wb u want is to get new links. U can download the manual from google that has all the exploded veiws of everything, which will greatly help u out if something ever goes wrong. It shows part numbers for each part, and where they all go. Just look up axial scx10 exploded veiw n it will have a link for a pdf that will automatically start to download wen u click on it. Hope this helps.

Yes. Usually. Unless you want to go really short.

I got HR (hot racing) links for the 12.3 wheelbase. They work great n look great. I think theyre bout $35 on ebay
