| Body mount with Velcro using 3D printed parts or other method?
Anyone mounted the body using Velcro and a custom body mount? I found a 3D printed mount for SCX10, didn't fit the II. Is that better than the pins? Probably will look better. My question is is it easier to mount with Velcro? Or is it not as sturdy? Before drilling the holes wanted to see... Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro |

I was thinking of trying these. Scroll down and it tells you what size you need for the 10.2. Store | RC Addicts and Life Of An RC Addict |

im using the Incognito Body mounts and love the look of not having the post through the body and the velco holds pretty well. if you get the one for it recommends for the front of the scx10 II you need to use the other body posts that come in the extra parts tree the bent ones can kind of see it in the picture. well after looking he may have changed it either way you should have the right posts either way. I use them, have never had an issue with any body mounted with them. Some of my homebrew Velcro methods however, have failed, lol. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

I tried it for a while. Its ok if you are a careful driver. A good tumble will pull it off. I went back to the posts because it was getting to be a pain fixing it on bad rolls. The other guys I go out with had to wait for me to fix it a lot. Sent from my ALCATEL ONE TOUCH Fierce using Tapatalk |

I use bolts through delrin probably because I can't afford the body coming off during a SORRCA course. Justin's Street(1.9) Truck: SCX10 Hilux.... |

I tried industrial velcro with aluminum plates for a while, I didn't like it after all. If you are crawling a lot, most probably you will fall and roll down a few hills, hitting the body, and in time the velcro will get loose. The other thing, is that if you add plenty of velcro can be very strong, but what happened to me is that the velcro stick ripped off the paint of the body in a big fall... After all, post are the most reliable D440 |

If you have a hard body like Justin, adding side post is a good idea, but try to add some support on the top also to avoid beaking the body D440 |
