Default First Test of the SCX10 III

Today was the first chance I’ve had to really run the SCX10.3 and I have to say I’m impressed. My SCX10.3 is still in the stock kit form other than Crawler Innovations foams and I decided to go with 50wt shock oil instead of the supplied 35wt. The electronics are a Mamba X, HH puller pro v2 stubby 3300kv, Futaba S9177SV and two Spektrum sx107 for the dig and two speed. I built this to mainly be a trail truck but found it completing harder more technical lines than I expected. The AR45P axles have tons of clearance and seems to be very durable. I did hear the infamous clicking noise a couple of times but not for long and it was barely noticeable. With the amount of time I drove and the way I beat it on the entire time I’m highly surprised that nothing broke. At this point I would have to say Axial did a great job on this kit and I’m really looking forward to spending some more time with it.

Sounds like my impressions with exception of the click, that I still don’t have.
Great looking rig! Did you ever use the two speed?

I used the two speed a couple of times when there was a long straightaway and it worked great. Way more speed than I’ll ever need but it sure is fun.

Thanks. This was my first real paint job so I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
