I am so much happier with the rear suspension now. I need to get new shocks but I'll get around to that later. Right now everything is cycling fine and I have increased my rear travel by over an inch.

I need to figure out what I will be doing in the rear now though. I can't use the old deck lid I had because there is no way to get it in there any longer.




The mounts are still nice and low when viewed from the side. In the end these things probably won't even be noticed that much.

Came out looking real good. Way more beef also. Even though they may not be noticed all that much it's a killer touch to the scale appearance.

They definitely have more Ultra4 style than before. The shock hoops never bothered me but they also didn't add anything in the style department.

I'm ready to get started with the front end. I have a lot of stuff I need to package up there. I'm thinking the ESC is going to need to go to the rear.

Killer improvement! The tig work looks good and the parts are sick. Great idea. I'm getting some work done on my 1:1 and have been hanging out at ORW (offroad warehouse). The day I was there they had a killer custom desert truck in the shop. I normally don't get into those, but I had to admit...it got my mind going bigtime. It's one thing to see them in videos, but another to see it ripping though the parking lot. I can only imagine seeing them live out in the desert.

I just ordered my new rear shocks, you can see they are just slighlty longer than the fronts. I am thinking about checking to see if I can possibly mount an SCX10 sized Powerstroke shock in front of it without a spring.

Josh, for the second time....I'm on page 129 and trying to get to page 130 and it repeats page 129 and won't get to page 130. It happened last night and again tonight. I think rccrawler's bandwidth has been exceeded on this thread!

Is that happening on your end or for anyone else? I thought I was in a time warp or early alzheimer's! As I'm looking at the thread...it says page 129 of 130.

That has been happening for me for a couple days now, looks like a database error. There is nothing on the phantom last page, all new posts are on what appears to be the second to last page.

It's because the thread has had posts deleted that would have made the thread another page long. The phantom page remains even though the posts have been deleted.

Last night I got a text from Rick over at SuperShafty.com with some new products he is about to drop. I hadn't been thinking much about the transmission in this truck up to this point. However he got me thinking and I am now wanting to step up the heart of this truck.

So watch out for some new products from Rick I have been running the stock outputs and stock motor plate all this time... We'll bring it up to the bombproof standards Rick has!

Harley..The welding looks good. Just spend some more time getting to know that torch and the TIG setup. Especially on those sweet ass parts, If you lived close to me I would weld up all your shit for ya for beer .

Thanks man, I'm really into this new style. I have got a ton of ideas rolling around my head for the front end. Just need to wait for the new winch to come in so I figure out how I want it all in there.

The new parts from Rick look good and should really appeal to people, ESPECIALLY FOFF and TTC people.

Yeah practice is the fun part I'm excited to work on this truck again which had not been the case for awhile.

That's a pretty weld, I love looking at all the fab guys work. The best part about watching the full size rigs being built is seeing the quality of their work.
