heyy harley, Hows it going, im only new to this forum and even this hobby. I found your thread yesturday and have read the whole thing in ONE DAY, sooo addicting!!! I love what your doing with your wraith, oh yer i gotta add, your wriath is the best ive scene by far. freq-e designs did a kickass job. I am getting a wraith for christmas and plan to do what exactly what your doing, explore what the weakest parts are and upgrade them. The most awesome thing about your wraith though, would definetly have to be the 4WS. OMFG!!!! that looks trick. That is going to be one of the first upgrades i am going to be doing to my wraith but seriously dont know what i need to buy to do it, can you help telling me what i need? like: extra servo c-hubs knuckles etc? i dont really know. lol. like i said before and also, what motor would you suggest i run, i want mainly go bashing and crawling, but want some speed. I was thinking about the tekin 35T HD motor/FX-R ESC combo. but after reading your thread, am thinking about a holmes hobbies set up. what do you think. thanks heaps man! is there anything else that you would recommed as far as the links go... apart from the VP ti and possibly without spending $100. maybe you know someone who does good strong custom links.

| You can build your own out of all thread and stainless rod. It's not quite as strong as the Ti but will hold up better. I think R2J is also making custom links. Check the vendors forum.

I just looked on the site those things are an amazing piece of detail, do you already have some in hand or are you still playing in your basement?

| Wraith for High Speed
Dear Harley, I have a eagerness to get a Wraith because I really like to scale look of the thing. It has a very interesting sophisticated look for me. But I'm actually not a crawler. I run 2WD and 4WD SC quite actively. What I wanted to ask You is, would it be possible to get the Wraith for a high speed application? I probably will not take the truck for crawling very often. What would be Your best suggestion for ESC and Motor combination? Also do you think the Wraith would able to set for high speed cornering without flipping over? Would the swaybar set help? Thanks, Stanley |

for speed go with a brushless setup. to stop or further prevent the risk of high speed 'flip overs', lower the ride height by flipping the shock mounts.. because you are going for speed, i would also upgrade the steering to VP tierod/drag link, with will reduce the flimsy feel and provide a more accurate truck at high speeds.

To go for a complete speed and handling I would lower the truck with shorter shocks, such as the Proline Powerstrokes for the front of a slash 4x4. Sway bars for sure. Then a brushless. Start with that. | |
