I love awesome builds as much as anyone - I don't have the talent, patience, or other resources to do that myself - but I totally really dig it when we get to see these great builds actually out there crawlin - that's truly impressive!

Ya, shelf queens are nice but having a truck that reeks "I have been used" is always gorgeous

Stock 20t on 3S lipo. Battery is stored in the back in the black box. I changed it by removing it from the black box.

What's the advantage of the 3s lipo instead of a 2s in a crawler?
And where exactly did you have to extend the hood?

More voltage for more better power and speed. I did not extend the hood.

Here it states that you had to extend the fenderS?

Haha, sure. You can admire the junk collection. Old picture, 4Runner has been replaced by a Tundra.

They are G-Made. I think they are from the R1 or whatever. It's a Hilux hood, but I had to lengthen it to fit correctly.

I'm starting to like where this is headed. I had my doubts at first. I swapped the plastic beadlock rings out for some washers. They added an extra 2.4oz to each wheel.

The front end took some long hours of head scratching, but I think it looks pretty cool now. I tried to follow the lines of the cage underneath to make the fender cut out work. In order to do that I had to extend the fenders themselves.

I think I need to add a tailgate handle since I eliminated the side latches.

The hood is not a fender

If you look closely at a Hilux body you'll notice where I filled the fenders in and changed their shape.

Yes. Cut a section out of each side and glued it back together.

No glue, use a solvent that melts the plastic and welds it together.
Bondene, Tenax, MEK.
