The mt claws are all cut up and backwards. I cut the large lug into three small lugs and the small lug in half. When they are mounted backwards they seem to grab ledges and cracks great. I can highly recommend them after they are cut.

| Re: Wheels and tires, lets see em How do you like these? Have you run them at high speed or lost a bead yet? Found them on Proline's site. Wonder what the backspacing is, but they say only for PL tires....hmmm. They look strong, light and simple and kinda like Maximizer beadlocks that worked great on my Savage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Pro-Line PRO270402 (PRO2704-02) package of two Epic 2.2" Beadlock Wheels. These feature a black wheel and black rings and fit the front axles of the Traxxas Slash Short Course Race Truck (and some others). Pro-Line announces a bead-loc wheel design to stand the test of your Slash and make changing tires simple-simply called, Epic. Epic takes today’s tough off-road looking wheel and turns it into a simple to use, reusable platform. It’s a one-sided bead-loc system that puts even pressure on both beads of the tire. Six screws and one bead-loc ring is all that mates the wheel and tire together and you’re ready to thrash. The wheel and inner clamping sleeves are made from durable nylon for the roughest and toughest of drives. To get a satin black finish, the Epic’s wheel face has a raw, EDM finish to it. Fits Traxxas Slash trucks. The Epic wheel is made specifically for use with Switch tires only! The mounting bead is different for the Bead-Loc system, than the standard 2.2" glued tires. Using other tires with this wheel will cause the tire not to seat. Button Head Hardware size 2mm hex, 3mm threads, 10mm long. Features:
Pro-Line bead-loc wheels work with Pro-Line tires only due to the inner webbing bead design. Increasing the speed of your Slash can reduce the Bead-Loc capability of your Epic wheels. |

| Re: Wheels and tires, lets see em Thanks you're a dearth of knowledge. Found em myself. This site is to help other RC crawlers. From Proline Racing site: Pro-Line Epic Bead-Loc Wheels 2704 for Short Course ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ Pro-Line announces a 2.2" bead-loc wheel design with Slash wheel offsets. It was developed before the 2.2"/3.0" wheels and tires became the standard in the short-course class. This wheel fits only 2.2" tires and is not designed to hold tires under high-loads. This wheel is perfect for using Pro-Line's 2.2" rock crawling tires on your Slash and bouncing around on rocks at slow speeds. Epic takes today’s tough off-road looking wheel and turns it into a simple to use, reusable platform. It’s a one-sided bead-loc system that puts even pressure on both beads of the tire. Six screws and one bead-loc ring is all that mates the wheel and tire together and you’re ready to go. The wheel and inner clamping sleeves are made from durable nylon for the roughest and toughest of drives. To get a satin black finish, the Epic’s wheel face has a raw, EDM finish to it. **WARNING**: This wheel was not intended for racing or extreme bashing purposes. Using racing style 2.2"x2.2" tires will result in the bead eventually popping out of the bead-loc. **This wheel does not work with the Slash 4x4!** Button Head Hardware size 2mm hex, 3mm threads, 10mm long |

You guys that are repainting your rigs, how are you doing it? Doing it on the outside or inside and are you getting any of the paint/stickers off that came on it? Sorry to be off topic kinda, but looking at all these cool trucks makes me wanna paint mine.

I used a laquer coat to try and protect it a bit but the paint will scratch off seeing it's on the outside of the body. | |
