Hey rojo, In the battery tray pic, looks like you just used a flat piece of delrin, correct? Did you run the 2 outer screws through the straps? I'm wanting to do a different battery tray up front, rather than cutting down the stock tray and going that way. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner |

Thanks rojo!!! I'm guessing you used a flat washer and a nut to secure the strap, as well? Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner Last edited by 2-shot; 07-04-2012 at 09:16 AM. |

More work done today! Front sway bars installed. I had to use a mix of parts from the front and rear axial kits to make it work. I used the links and softest sway bar from the "front" kit and used the shorter arms from the "rear" kit. I also had to use an offset rod end to clear the shock on the bottom mount. I had to mix and match them because of my front shocks being relocated so far forward, along with the larger diameter shocks I am using. Either way, I think it turned out great, and will definitely help control the body roll a lot better at speed. I'm planning on leaving the rear without as I didn't want to kill all my travel. Approaching the finish line on this build... Last major detail, the rear deck cover: Made out of styrene and foam with the TTH logo inset into the cover. (Been watching way too many custom car shows lately...lol) Also put on a trail rack complete with cooler and tow strap. A few pics with the top off: ![]() ![]() Top on and loaded up: ![]() ![]() |

Got a chance to take out the Wraith this afternoon. I'm still working on my 4WS skills, but wow is this thing capable. The 6.5" ripsaws are insane. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Holy shizzle! 6.5 ripsaws? CI did this? This is the first I've seen of this! They actually make the axles look scale! RC4WD...Please follow!!! Let's shift the whole hobby to 1/8th scale!

Time to update with a few changes made over the last part of this year... Still having a blast with this truck! First off, I swapped to GCM Steel Metal-Head AR-60 axles. These were the first ones he made (and the only ones in steel that I know of). It took a little fitting between the Vanquish C and Panhard mount, but they went together rather smoothly for being a custom-ordered axle. I also chose a black oxide coating to protect the steel a bit from the elements. ![]() (Internally I switched to Vanquish Lockers and VVD's. I'm still currently running under-drive gears front and rear) Also, just to note, The GCM housings give a gain of about 1/8" of ground clearance under the diff over a stock style housing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next up was to install a little lighting for the after-hour runs. I chose the MadDog Exo light bar (and adapted it to the Wraith) along with some MadDog Rock Lights. Wow, these things are bright! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last came a wheel swap to some LockedUp RC Rock Cutters. They required the removal of the Vanquish brake kit, but are absolutely worth it. ![]() ![]() ![]() Its been raining a lot around the house, but I will try to get some out-side shots posted up soon! |
