Did you use cable clamps to hinge your hood? I did mine then saw CKRC sold a "kit" to do the same. Only they used 3/16" and I used 1/4" clamps.
Fine job on your body panels!

I used 1/4" clamps for the hood but only used the "P" shaped side to mount it to the hood and clipped off the strait half just past the hole so I can slip of the crossmember it mounts to without any tools, very handy. Thanks for the compliments on the body! I enjoy how it gets banged up and worn in! What would the 14/60 32p equate to in 48p?

The 32P is about the same as the stock 48P ratio. You just have beefy teeth so your less likely to strip them. Lots of info here http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/axial...ur-wraith.html
Clever idea on the hood! Yes metal panels look cool when they get dented up!

Today I twisted my first driveshaft (front) and broke the servo horn at the exact same time I have no idea how they failed at the same time!? Im loving this Mamba Max Pro and Novak 13.5 combo! My castle link should be here in the next couple days so I can get some more fine tuning taken care of. Got it all put back together and ready for another crawling session!

Default Some new hardened RR tranny gears!

So on my last crawl session I got about 10 minutes in and grrrrrrr, the idler gear shredded. So I got some Robinson hardened tranny gears today and going to throw those in there. Now the driveshafts are prob you to fail.... Son of a gun!

Today I built some gun rack support from left over pieces of all-tread and aluminum tube and some ends.

Pretty simple just measured and fit everything in, the ends I cut to make them open ended ( C ) instead of being closed up like a normal ball end. Then I warmed up the gun rack tabs with a lighter so they had a similar shape to the ball ends then used some black tire CA to fasted them to the links.

Now I don't have to look at those guns on the parts tree anymore!

It took some brainstorming for sure! Thanks! Now I just need to detail the guns and get a driver!

Ebay has hundreds of drivers looking for a ride. A lot of them work really cheap.

Did a little Sam Fisher mod the other day, I dremeled his fat a$$ to fit tighter into the seat, but he was still to tall. So I chopped the floor pedastool the seat is mounted on and cut the front and side edges and collapsed it down so it shifted the seat forward about a quarter inch and lowered it down a little more than 1/4 inch. He fits great now. I used some shoe goo to hold him in.

Now I just need to save up some money for a better servo, my hs5645mg shredding gears every ten minutes!! Pos! I have my eye on a jr 8911hv , anyone have any luck with that beast?

Thumbs up A little custom Saturday action

So today I went into scale action more than normal. I made a bed utility rack - mounted it with the 4 avalible shock mount screw holes and washers for extra achoring strength. The rack itself is an altoid tin slotted and polished out with a dremel. Next I made a bundle of firewood, a sleeping bag, 2 bungees, a tow strap, a shovle made of heavy tin and a paint brush (minus the bristles obviosly!) and my Coleman key lantern! It all turned out awesome!! I'm super stoked on it and it was all stuff I had on hand so that makes it even better! Let me know what you think!!!

Nice scale accessories. The paintbrush shovel is cool.

Thanks eemmaaxxxx! The shovel is one of my favorite pieces too, really easy just some tin snips and jb weld! Was easier than dremeling the cooler out of wood!

Little update: the wraith has been doing great, only broke a rear shock mount hoop. About ready for some new body panels, the aluminum ones are getting pretty beat. Here is a video I shot with my phone... Not great but the best I could do at the time.

I used some 10/24 allthread inside my drive shafts and haven't spun one into a pretzel since. much cheaper than MIP and prolly about the same weight.

The MIP's are much heavier than you think. I consider it their only real downside.

If you put allthread inside the shaft, how do you replace the plastic sliders? Isn't their a screw recessed into the shaft? I was glad the kit came with extra sliders.

Mine ended up with HD gears front and rear, MIPs, full Robinson gears, Avid bearings, Felesenfest spools, 3 hitec servos, and finally a Savox 2270 before I managed to get through a single pack without breakage. So your not alone.

I can't believe you bothered to put another plastic servo horn on. Get a Robitronics horn and be done with it.

I usually run plastic horns so I don't have to bother with a saver and less likely to strip servo gears. A lot cheaper too! My hitec 5645mg went through 3 gear sets before I retired it for my jr8911hv ( which is BA!)

10/24 allthread just slips in and out. Im running a holmes 35T tourque master motor on 3s battery and havent pretzeled one since. Just a very cheap solution. to another junk part on the Wraith.
