How long of a peice of all-thread do you use? A full matched length of the inner splined half or a little longer? Or shorter? Does it matter really?

Default Lake trip

Today I went to the lake and did some muddin and some crawling. The lake is really low and gooey mud! And rock outcrops. I started out by going to close to the water and getting stuck so I had to get a bunch of branches and crap to make a bridge to get it... That didn't work so well so I had to tromp through the mud to save the stranded wraith! No bueno! Anyways everything stayed together and had some fun. I was a little nervous seing how it not waterproof but all the electronics are tucked up nice and high. Here are a couple photos:

Default Update

I got some proline tsl swampers the other day, just waiting on my rc4wd black steelies! I made a windshield! I added a cc Bec and relocated and rewired the whole truck. Flipped the rear lower shock mounts. Made longer down tubes off the roofline to the tailgate and fixed my broken led! Pics when I get the new wheels! I'm stoked!!

I got my wheels, I went with black axial 8 hole bead locks rather than the rc4wd steel wheels because I couldn't get the proline swamper to mount up even with the coupler mod.... Ugh frustrating!
So the tsl's mounted right up and look great on the 8 holes! Here are some pics

This is a width difference between the stock wheels (drivers side) and 8holes/swampers (passenger side) pretty different offset but I like it!!

Default New paint!

I got the itch to make some new aluminum panels today ( for sale sign $1.6
The last set i made were pretty beat and I was looking for a new color too. It white base coat with a fluorescent red orange. The hood wrinkled up really bad but it grew on me so I gloss clear coated all the panels and went for it. I wish the aluminum would've done it to but I'm not that lucky lol. Debating on putting a 1/2 roof back on it?

Default Street action!

So out of boredom I decided to put on my old rtr ripsaws and zip tie the suspension travel out of the wraith. Through the axle truss holes and around the cage. It gives it almost zero up and down travel but about 3 finger width of articulation. So basically you have the tires as suspension. It reminds me of the old 3 wheelers with balloon tires that bounce around... Anyways, it's really fun to mob it around and do little jumps, best part is its not very top heavy so it corners pretty good till the tires roll under it! Give it a try its kind of entertaining.

reminds me of the backhoes with solid mounted center pivot front axle and no suspension. rear axle is solid mounted with no pivot.

your wraith is awesome

Default Gopro!

I got a hero2 the other day and I used a vented helmet mount to strap down the hero2 to the base of the controller. So all I have to do is be aiming the controller to the wraith if I'm doing action filming, plus its hands free now! Pretty stoked on it!

I use the stock plastic panels as templates and marker them out onto the shiny side of an aluminum for sale sign. To cut them I use some tin snips and then take some light grit sand paper to smooth out the edges and the surface to promote primer / paint adhesion.

So I traded the Wraith off as a roller for this little beast! It was in pretty good shape when I got it, but it needed some fine tuning! So long story short I'm headed to scx10 land!
