Thumbs down Eletronics issue.

I was driving my dads wraith last night on my basement course and it would just die and not do anything. If I turned it off and back on it would run again and then die and not do anything. Is it just getting to hot and shutting itself down, or is there another problem? It is RTR running stock equipment

What battery? If its 3s you need a BEC. IF its 2s you should add a BEC. If its any other type of battery then I'd probably add a BEC.

GET A BEC.

It would run for a while before dying. It will also run without putting a load on it or putting it in a bind in the rocks for a long time with no dying.

I did search. I found nothing about the wraith having the problem. Seached for like an hour +.

Harley told you three letters, BEC. I went there and searched the electronics section for just that, BEC, and here are the results. Try harder next time before giving up and asking to be spoon fed.

Search can be a pain to use when you actually need it to work for you but there was one that was posted just the other day with pretty much the same issue on 7 cell. First you need a BEC then check the programming on your ESC it is probably set for lipo cut off. If that fails to work try a 6 cell or a 2s lipo and go from there. I am pretty sure the stock stuff without a BEC won't handle a 7 cell battery though. I never even ran my stock stuff but tried 3s on a friends stock stuff and it went crazy so I put a 2s in and it did fine. He now has a bec and can run 3s with no issues.
By the way Harley is the man on this stuff most of the time. I havn't seen him proven wrong yet but I am sure he has been just like most anybody else can be.

Thanks man. The lipo cut off is turned off and i guess that he is in need of a BEC. It had run fine until it got bound up in the rocks and started to need the torque to get through. Is this a common when in need of a BEC? I have been reading up about them, but since I am pretty new to the hobby I dont really understand all the reasons to have one.

Harley has already said it but yes it is a common issue especially when you over power it. The rtr is only made to run 2s or 6 cell anything more you def need a bec. This is the link to the wraith guide it tells all you need to know within the first couple of pages and if you read on there are a ton of questions answered about all kinds of stuff on the wraith.

Two things will get you through most situations on here. Search button, and READ. Looking at pictures is fun, but you don't necessarily get the information provided within. READ. There are subject matter experts (sme) in just about every subforum or vehicle type. Just ask, after you've seached.

Take it easy.
