I have a 7954sh pushing the steering with custom steel steering rods, so I'll really push the steering angle.
If I'm really nice to my wife she might let me go to the garage to weigh them tonight.. Haha

Me three...also would be stronger and longer wearing to not use a setscrew to retain the cross pin, but use a ring like Axial SCX10 CVDs, this would also incorporate a full bell end (like MIPs) which is stronger than two seperate ears supporting the cross pin.

EDIT: My Wraith kit will full lock to both the left and right until the knuckle's rear bits hit the axle housing and is smooth running at full lock. Just providing a reference for your steering angle with Axial universals since you had dogbones on your RTR. Looking forward to your test results.

Well I put another 1/2 hour beating on the wraith today in the snow piles left over after all out rain.. The new Fastlane Machine Axles took it all.. I spent lots of time spinning in snow at WOT, tossing the steer full lock to full lock and banging forward to reverse as I tried to get unstuck.
When I got home I cleaned everything off and inspected for slop. Everything is still tight and smooth.. I did have them well greased, but I believe all axles deserve grease.
So far I'm very impressed. The extra turning radius over stock dogbone / drive cup has been awesome for me. I'll keep up the torture testing and next time maybe I can get some one to video me.. I tried to hold my iPhone and drive with one hand, but that didn't go well.. Lol

What jamie sent me was a test unit, but I would think if he made one set the others are not far off. I'll send another email this morning asking time line and price.

Im super sorry fellas.. I don't know what's going on at FLM.

STILL !!! No response from them. It's got me a bit peeved off.. It's like I'm being ignored.. Maybe someone could sending an email to see of its just me they are ignoring ( fastlanemachine@sbcglobal.net )..
On a brighter note, the CV axles great.

I think Regina. The secretary ( maybe even his wife, I'm not sure), is P'd at me cause I sent a stern email about another issue.. I bought 4 diff lockers for an AX10 but received 4 lockers for a Venom Creeper. I read in her email that the ax10 lockers are discontinued so she sent me these instead. Maybe that's not true, but its what I read.. I called her on it and have not heard back from her. Jamie in in the shop gets his emails through the same address and i think she's screening me.
It's a real shame that one issue had to happen at the same time as this Wraith axle deal is happening.. One should not concern the other, but it appears as if it does.
Still hoping he makes the axles for all to use.

Yes, they were a pita back in our Savage days and quality was not always what it was advertised to be.

My FLM steel stub axles in my slash 4x4 have me absolutely flawless.. Tough as nails and still going strong a year later..
I just don't want it to end this way.. I want to help him perfect these wraith axles into a product everyone will love.

Their newer stuff seems to be pretty good and it would be nice if they come out with a good product.

Just got email from Jamie at FLM. He said they can be ready in about a week if the Test units don't need to be changed.. I offered a suggestion about the thickness of the ears on the stub axle part of the joint. Don't know I he will change this or not.. I just thought the more beef the better, right?
He also said they will be around $50... Sounds a bit higher than I hoped for.. I did tell him what the competition sells for..

Just got another email from FLM. Seems as if he's going to go ahead with these Wraith Axles. He said he's gonna thicken up the ears on the stub axle part of the joint as well.
This is good news.

Thikker ears is really good news, he should thicken the whole shaft too.

Ya I always wonder why so many... I mean all Rc parts aren't thicker.. Like why use a 5mm axle that bends all the time when. 6, 7 or even 8mm could so easily have been made durring the design process

That's all fantastic news!

$50 would be ok if they are bullet proof and offer the same insane throw as the stock ones.
Thats only $10 more than closest competition sells them for shipped.

If he gets on them this week he will be on pace with Tower and RPP
and may still be able to exploit the gap!

Thanks for your persistence!
