Default slipper clutch?

Has any one just blown through the slipper clutch with a brushless set up? I am running a mamba monster speed control with an orion vortex brushless 16t and after playing with the settings in the speed control it acts as though it is pushing through the slipper clutch as if it was loosened up. By the way I am running 2s l-po 5000 mah 20c

Best solution when using big power.

A quote from my build thread:

The stock Axial slipper often seems like an all or nothing type deal. You either crank it down to the point where it never slips or it always slips when you don't want it to.

So I was aware of the new top shaft made by SuperShafty.com that will allow you to run the steel Robinson 32p spur and heavy duty Traxxas slipper from the Slash 4x4. He is out of stock currently but I went ahead and got the rest of the parts on the way for the setup. I decided to drop down in pinion size to a 13t so that will lower my gear ratio just a hair.

Get the Robinson. Saw one in a Slash 4x4 on 6s. That's brutal, and it ran perfectly.

I run the traxxas VXL brushless system in my Wraith, so I got a slipper from Traxxas for the slash, haven't had a problem yet.

I've got the one designed for the Wraith. It's 48 pitch, though. That bomb proof setup looks sweet, though. If I manage to tear up what I've got, I'm gonna do that next.
