Default Question about shocks

I've got my wraith kit about done and I'm on the fence about the shocks.

I have the kit shocks and some Losi Crawler shocks. They each have unique strengths...

The Axial's have a thicker shaft and beefier piston assembly, but the Losi's have Aluminum bodies, all ONE PIECE on the top...

Which one do you think will stand up to BOTH bashing & crawling better?
AND, how are the Axial's on leaking?

Thanks.
- Jared

the stock shocks SUCK. i've built tons of shocks, so i know how to do it, and the stock shocks leaked within the first few minutes of running. the stock shocks are also extremely rough. i switched to aluminum big bores and the difference is night and day, butter smooth. now i have a ton of torque twist even though the oil and springs are the same, but i had barely any torque twist with the stock shocks if that says anything. so i'd say go with the losi shocks just based on how bad the stock shocks are.

Thats a bummer they leak so bad.
You know, I've got a set of XR-10 shocks laying around.
Basically, the same as the stock Wraith shocks, but with aluminum bodies.

How about those?

when i had my XR10 the stock shocks served me well, so they'd be worth a try

Aside from my two choices above...

Id like some responses from others on what brand of shocks you feel are durable enough for bashing, but also crawl well?

Thanks.

I have 124mm integy shocks on mine modified for shorter springs and less travel. They work perfect for me. Crawling with speed every now and again. I've got about 15 packs run through the crawler with the integy shocks on it and not a 1 leaks any oil yet.

Huh, the Wraith is my first Axial product that actually holds shock oil.

My AX-10 and SCX both leaked just sitting on the bench after being newly assembled.

The Wraith shocks are still full and smooth after about sixteen packs of general bashing. Not sure what some of you are doing to get rough movement from them, cause mine are as slick as any other plastic bodied shock.

That said, if I had some Losi's I'd run them.

I use a small dab of Green Slime on the seals, and a narrow wrap and a half of Teflon plumbers tape around the upper and lower cap threads, just like any other shock I build.
