Help!! can't get my new wraith to run

hey
I just bought a new wraith today and i plugged a brand new 5000mAh 2S in
the steering worked for a second then stopped, the ESC beeps but won't calibrate

I charged the battery up, tried re-binding(which didn't seem to work either)
fiddled with the trims and everything
the ESC just sits there and blinks red and beeps

any help would be appreciated

ok so I just threw in an old FM receiver and got it all to work in seconds, so I guess my problem is between my new radio and receiver.
put the new one back in and again nothing.

changed out the batteries on the remote, still nothing
when i try re-binding the red light on the receiver won't stop blinking, so i don't think its bound and i've been trying to according to the manual but im not getting anywhere

With the car on and remote off. Binder puffed in push and hold the bind button on the transmitter while you turn it on

yeah thats what i've been doing, a minute ago i got the light on the receiver to stop blinking then the radio light started to blink
whats going on with this

The radio light will blink after binding. After you turn the radio and receiver off and back on, you're done.

once i noticed the light on the radio blinking i turned everything off, pulled the bind plug out and I still can't get it to pick up anything, no steering either.
when everything is on and running normal should there be any light on on the receiver, and what colour should the radio light be, at the moment mine is solid red.

When I first got mine my TX NEVER worked. never could get a light to come on. Good thing I had a extra RX for my 4pk waiting ....

Im assuming you have a AX3 tx and rx. On my SCX10 if I turn the truck on first the reciever light blinks red and beeps. When I turn the tx on, the blinking red light goes to a solid green and gives a little musical sound. There are always a red and green light on on my tx. Im not educated at all on these, just thought I would tell you what mine does.

The ESC is what gives the sound.

Well it's definitely narrowed down to the Tx and Rx not binding, does anyone know some tricks or options to get them to bind

See if you can get a hold of Axial on Monday. I'm still waiting for an Rx to replace my bad one. Mine worked for a week and a half before going bad. DON'T send emails to them because you won't get a reply. Call Scott Kerkes 949-600-8642 Ext: 4

ok so a bit of progress after work here, I got it to bind and the steering worked then I got the ESC calibrated but no motor function.
played around a bunch then all of a sudden it would lose the bind, then turned everything off then on again and nothing.
turned just the radio off then back on and went to re-calibrate the ESC and had my finger on full throttle, well when i turned the radio on the thing shot across the room.
flipped it back over and nothing was working again, kept playing around and I could get the steering to work for a second or two then it would stop, and i haven't had the motor going since.
I've got some major Tx and Rx issues here, is there a reset button anywhere or anyone know how to fix this?

Ummm, huh? The motor does not make any beeping sounds.

had this problem several times. the axial stuff does NOT like to be close together to bind or calibrate. get another set of hands to help you. stand about 10 feet away from the truck while you go thru binding, and calibrating. also something to check, are you running the stock tamiya plugs on the esc and battery? if so, they have a tendancy to be crap for connectors. you might try plugging the battery in, turning the truck on, and wiggle/pull/push on the wires and connectors. if it cuts out you need to swap the connectors.

and yes, the motor has to be hooked up or the esc will not make beeping sounds.

The ESC uses the motor to generate the beep tones. If motor was not connected - there would be no beeps.

I'm not arguing about whether the ESC will beep without the motor attached. offroad1911 said the Rx beeps. I was simply correcting him letting him know the beeps are from the ESC, not the Rx.

I didnt know, I should have stated the truck beeps then all the basis would have covered.
