New wraith turns on but wont run. Please help

HI EVERYONE. JUST GOT MY NEW WRAITH LAST NIGHT FINALLY AND UNBOXED IT. HOOKED IT ALL UP AND TURNED IT ON, LIGHTS COME ON, BEEPS ****INUOUSLY AT ME BUT WONT RUN. . I HAVE NEW BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE AND A FRESHLY CHARGED ONE IN THE UNIT. IVE HAVE A FEW RTR'S FROM AXIAL IN THE PAST AND THEY RUN LIKE A CHAMP. AM I DOING SOMTHING WRONG? PLEASE PLEASE HELP. THANKS

Have you tried following the esc setup in the manual. Sometimes they come out of the box needing recalibrated. I know as it is beeping at you if you will adjust your throttle exp dial slowly sometimes mine will work. Kinda annoying I know, believe me.

Yes i have tried all of that accept for recalibrating the esc. I didnt figure i needed to as is says on the box "rtr" lol. How do i get the the esc? Do i have to take the unit apart to get to it?? I know it lays in the firewall caopartment but is there a trick to get it out??

You don't have to "get to" the esc to recalibrate these bad boys. I THINK that you just hold the trigger full throttle when you turn the car on and hold till it gives you the multiple beep thingy. Again, hit up the manual for the exact directions.

Great! Thanks for all the help. I really do appriciate it. Ill try all that when I get off work tonight. If for some reason that still dosnt work even after following the directions, what else could it be??

You could also try re-binding the radio. Once again, I dont know the specifics, so refer to the manual.

Thanks Ninja. I tried that last night. Maybe i did it wrong though. is there a perticular prosses?? It said somthing along the lines of pushing that middle botton 3times to get to ch 3 or somthing like that and then hold the throttle down for a while. aggain im not to sure if I did that right but ill try again..

My RTR came from the factory with the battery tray not plugged into the radio. Make sure yours is plugged in.

This may sound stupid but it happened to me trying to cal. an AE-2. If your standing too close with the radio it may not work. Got my son to stand about 15 feet away with the radio and BING!!! Worked.

great advice guys, thanks. ill try that. @ Dunerinaz what do you mean the battery tray was not plugged into the try. not to be rude, but that dosnt make sence. can you explain further??

open your radio battery compartment. Pull out the battery tray. If it's unplugged, plug it in.

I think what he meant was that when he got his out of the box, the speed control lead wasnt plugged into the receiver. So he had to open up the radio box, and plug it in.

There is no radio battery. The receiver gets power from the ESC.

ok cool. and correct me if im wrong but is the radio box that sealed box up front? Am i wrong? Sorry, im just not to firmiliar with all this technical stuff. i just know i never had issues with my other 2 rigs.

The radio you hold in your hands, the receiver is in that box up front and the thing behind the dash that your battery plugs into is the speed control.

Dunerinaz was just saying to check the battery lead in the radio (see above).

ok cool. great. well sounds like ive got my hands full tonight. probably alot of taking apart right? or is all of that pretty easy to get to?

Any possible way i can get someones phone number to call when im off work at 9 in cali? It would be great to speak with someone who cal help me trouble shoot this thing. I went home on my lunch break to see if i could get it to work again and nothing. Again, all the lights work, i can see the esc falshing at me. I turned both off and held the throttle, turned it on then turned on the wraith. It just contunuously beeps at me and thats all. I also slowly adjusted the throttle control and still nothing. Can anyone please be of help? Again thanks for all the advice

Correct me if im wrong if the steering and thro are hooked up batt pluged in see if the red led is on. On the rx?
