The Ultimate Front Inner Fender/Firewall.
We both agree that they look best painted black. Just blend into the chassis when fully assembled.

Will be heading your way in the morning along with the boat sides.

Tore down Crawlmaro today to get it ready for NWSC and TTC. The new CarterFab innerfenders are on and the bends are quite amazing, they fit perfectly! You may be able to see a little surprise in the background too

Lookin good. Are you using that long bolt to attach them with? I always just run a small 3mm screw through form the inside so there is no visible hardware showing.
Need anything else let me know, got to make sure the lone Wraith is prepared to represent among the full on custom trucks.

Oh no, that's just the shock bolt. I'm thinking I may have to sneak on a CFM badge.... very subdued unless something else comes up.

Update

Finally began reassembling today. Rebuilt the rear axle with the new Vp lockers and strc bearing caps. The lockers look really well thought out, we will see how they hold up at NWSC and TTC. Oh, and fresh fast eddy bearings will be in everywhere.

More work done today, set the endpoints for the shift servo, bolted it up along with the rear axle. Put a tire on just to get an idea of the tranny. It shifts very well, even under high power.

As it sits today.

Also installed some CFM boatsides. Need a new front axle housing, mine has a small hole worn through it. Hopefully more tomorrow.

Thanks Hittman, it seems it is never good enough and there is something it could use to be better, always.

Tonight I put a Vp locker, Vp VVD's and my Hd gearset in a new front axle housing. Will paint the chubs and knuckles soon and bolt on to finish the front.

Front axle is now all buttoned up besides the servo. Also drilled a hole through the upper link mount for a shackle. With no bumpers it was near impossible for a "scale" tow point. I think I fixed that now.

Goal this weekend is to get it all together and try the 2 speed out, then final waterproofing.

Hell yeah! Way to make a great showing with an awesome rig. Getting voted in would feel like a win in my book, getting to drive on the most realistic and challenge course in the US would just be an honor. Congratulations on making it in, and doing well.

Thank you Norm! I wasn't sure how this adventure would turn out but was glad that I felt accepted into the group (Being 17 years old). I cant believe all the action that took place last weekend, it was definitely one I will remember for the rest of my life.

Of course, anyone who had anything to do with this event deserves more than a round of applause, this was just epic. So even if you didn't attend last weekend, literally give our great rccrawler community an applause.
