| A different center diff
I was wondering how to make a wraith axle with the diff in the center? The catch is for the axle to have both long sides on it (like a super). Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks! |

take scx10/ax10 axles. less wide but diff is in the center. it makes the wraith look more scale too

Get two complete diffs and split each right in the middle of the pumpkin. Glue the two long sides together and furnish with all the long hardware. Reinforce it like 1:1 guys do with a strap/brace from side to side and maybe a ring around the pinion input. An aluminum diff cover would help support it too.

That sounds like it'd likely open up on the bottom. Especially with any kind of abuse or jump landings.

Why would you need an axle wider than the ar60?

Because I need axles that let 40 series roc loks sit outside the body of a 1/6 jeep. I am currently making and welding up some tubed emaxx solid axles. But I like the ar60 better, so I'll give it a whirl. I think I've finally collected my ideas so I can start sorting through them. Thanks!

Make some beef tubes and do something similar to the XR super axles. Look in the super class section and look at some of the super XR builds. They are grafting housings together, also Christhebatteryman is making extended delrin beef tubes that might work for your application.
